My opinions on Harry Potter etc.

Well as you might already know I used to be HEAVILY into witch craft. What got me interested in witch craft? Well I was a fan of the Harry Potter Series and I loved anything having to deal with the medieval times and so forth. Which then lead me to want to know more about Celtic practices, and then these "innocent" reads lead me into the witch craft which was bondage in my life. I felt that the whole "supernatural" stuff was far more interesting than God and church and such practices are so "accommodating" that you can fit your own "god" into the Wiccan belief system. Also, as seen in such books, "god" is here to serve you can fulfill your wishes. After being in that bondage I am a strong advocate of not reading Harry Potter. To me reading Harry Potter is just the same as reading about a group of kids practicing satanic rituals right? What is the difference really? Both are pretend but you can clearly see that the satanic ritual story is far more taboo than that of the witch craft filled Harry Potter. We as Christians have become too accommodating to these things. The bible clearly states for us to not be involved in any form of witch craft. Also what if someone like me was seeing Christians doing and reading these things when I was first attending ROL? I would then fall due to my history of such which is what Paul talks about in 1 Corinthians I believe the whole meat sacrificed to idols. If the activity does not honor God then it should not be done. If people are so desperate as to leave their reality and dive into one filled with sinful actions then they are not happy with their lives that God has given them, this is the same as adulterous thoughts to God since it is as if you are having an affair against God. I just don't want to see new Christians fall because people think that it is innocent to be fanatics of Harry Potter. I will not even go into the whole Charmed thing since they do use actual Wiccan spells in that TV show!! (I know from experience of doing those spells before). Witch craft is not something to take likely and should be seen as Satanism since it is another variation of promoting the self as god and denying any belief in the ultimate creator. Also anything is bad when it is not in moderation. Anything can become an obsessive tendency. As part of the Four Square church we are called to live lives of moderation with Christ at the center.

Secular Music:

God created humans with a want to worship God. Music is an avenue of this. What we are constantly singing and hearing directly effects us. If we are singing nothing but "I am worthless" or "Sex” junk then those things we are constantly singing about will become what we are worshipping. This then becomes an idol in our life and blocks our relationship with God from growing. If the music has a good message then it is the individual’s decision to make.

As you can tell I am very passionate about this subject. God wants us to worship Him with all or heart, mind, and soul so why then do we want to constantly put other things in our lives which we worship. Satan’s entire goal is to stop us from worshiping God and want to worship other things and ultimately our flesh which is ruled by Satan. We as Christians are allowed to have personal interests and so forth but the reason we are here on this earth is to lead others to Christ and our actions can impede this calling. As I said before, anything can become an idol in a person’s life. We as Christians need to ask ourselves and God whether or not things we are doing can possible hinder others from accepting Christ. If we are not representing Christ to others and we are the only part of Christ in that person’s life then we are responsible for theat person falling since we are, in a sense, teaching them to fall away from Christ. What is more important reading some stupid book that you probably shouldn’t be reading anyways or leading people to salvation through your life?

I have a NEW LAPTOP

I am so happy that today I finally received my new laptop today. It's a Latitude D820. It rocks!! I'm having so much fun playing around with it and learning how to use it... Yeah!!! :) I had a lot of work today... I made about have my hours in this one day!!! Oh well, things have gone well. I thank God for getting a New Laptop, this one I get to keep when I graduate!! Also I thank God that I have good intuition because today Andrew and I went to a mattress store today and it was mega SLEAZY!! So we decided not to buy a mattress from him. Good thing too because on our way out I noticed that the guy had cut off all the tags on the mattress which is ILLEGAL!!!! So yeah. Anyways I was on duty tonight so I couldn't leave EcoVilliage which is good I guess since I have some homework to do. Anyways got to go do my Homework...

SingsJust another Manic Monday....

Today...today has been well to say it in one word...Monday... This...Monday started off with me having to go to my first period class to take a mega hard midterm, the worst part being that the class was being sub-ed by the teacher of the class which I had dropped only a week ago because I swear she's crazy justice peace woman who twists the bible to make it mean things like Jesus was a fun peace loving hippee type of thing.. ug and not only did I have to see her but I had to sit up front right next to her due to lack of seats in the class...embrassing... ;(... Anyways I then went to more of my classes then had to go to my Weight Management class. That teacher is all about "the secret" and "positive thinking" garbage. She's a fruit cake and loves to work out so what did we do? We had to lift weights today... yeah then we got back our midterms.. lets just say that it wasn't good... Did things get better?? Yes and no... I did have a 90%er (program where it is campus wide and I walk with residents to) on Self Defense...only thing is NO ONE SHOWED UP!!! So that blew up in smokes. But I did get to hang out with my friend Kari and shoot the breeze some...

I did have me teeth act up, my wisdom teeth are growing into my other teeth and is A LOT of PAIN!!! But when Andrew and I went to Wal-Mart we found out that No name brand of Midol is 4X cheaper and is suppose to work on tooth aches so far it has made things A TON BETTER!!!

So yeah in one word it was a Monday alright, but hey how high is the ups if you never have downs

Lazy Sundays

Well this weekend has gone by very quickly. Andrew had to work all weekend so on Saturday I throughly clean the kitchen, bathroom (yuck), and living room. When Andrew came home we went out with some friends to Sonny's, a chain resturant where they have ribs, pulled pork, and other bbq drenching projects. Later that night we went to our friends' house, Jon and Laura, and watched some Basketball then took turns playing Dance Dance Revolution Extreme. We had a ton of fun!! :) Then we watched the play, on DVD, Madea which is the precursor to A Diary of a Mad Black Woman. So funny! Then we left there finally at 1 in the morning. Today we went to Church at the 11 o clock service and invited some friends over for breaded chicken, mashed potatoes, corn, and mixed veggies. We played some more DDR and then Andrew went to work so yeah that's it for now. Just another lazy Sunday.

I'm doing fine, College is a little overwhelming but I think I'll be ok. I feel like in most of my classes I'm just getting by, even though I'm trying really really hard. I guess I just freeze up on tests and stuff. Oh wellz. Anywho, Things are ok!!

I've Got great News!!!

Hey guys, sorry I haven't been on in a long time, but guess what. There is this awesome 4-year private Non-denominational Christian College called Berea College. It's in Kentucky. Only 400 students are allowed in every year and I'm one of them!!! I RECIEVED AN $80,000 FOUR YEAR, FULL TUTION SCHOLARSHIP TO GO THERE ROOM AND BOARD INCLUDED!!! Oh my Gosh!! I'm so happy!! I started crying when I found out. I only have to pay 1500 a year (which I will make every summer) I'm so happy!! My dreams are coming true!! I'm going to get my BA degree in History, I would first like to be a history teacher and then maybe further down the line I'll become a professor or even a historian! I'm a little scared to be away from home, but I believe it's all worth it. The only thing is that I really wanted to have this summer off, but I'm going to have to continue to work my 40-hour workweeks, at least I'm almost done with school. I graduate on Friday!!! Wow this is weird, It's like I'm planning the whole rest of my life, that I'm in control... it's a scary but cool feeling I guess... Oh wellz I'll try to keep everyone up to date.

Hey guys!! Spoke too soon, Dixie picked back up and I'm working like everyday except Thursday and Sunday for now on!! I'm strong. We Cordinas (Maltese alike) are like roaches. You can not crush my sprit or body, I will keep going and annoy you untill I desire to no longer live!! :) JK Plus I was getting bored at home all the time. I also missed my friends at work... I have more friends at work than at school, and I don't mean the girl you say "hi how are you?" then have some meaningless conversation, I mean really true friends that I trust and enjoy just being with. In fact I don't have anyone at school like that at all right now since most of them graduated last year or at the middle of this year! Oh well! Anywho, I've been brain storming of what type of prom dress I want (saving up right now). Even if I go "stag" I will bring one of my friends who are in homeschool and can't go to a prom... BACK UP PLANS ROCK!! Hopefully I'll get a date to go with me, just right now I've been not dating "seriously" but more "lets have fun, I don't want you as a boyfriend" Well I just got tired of the whole "going steady" stuff so I'm just relaxing then I'll go back to the "stead"iness :) I'm kinda ramboling I know but hey who told you to read this anyways!! JK I still love you my stockers!!

Do I update only when sick?

Wow! I haven't written in a while!! S-O-R-R-Y!! Oh wellz. Well part of it has been stress form school and work.
Plus all last week I was sick this this terrible Virus thingy, I think it was the flu. But when I first started getting sick I went to the Dr. and she said that it was allergies... YA RIGHT!! then I went with my dad to his Dr. and she said it was the virus thingy, after taking the 2nd Dr's meds I healed very fast!!
So I missed like a week of school. I then go to school and the whole school is sick so now we've been off all week due to the flu and viruses but I'm healthy now!! AH!! Stupid school. Other than that nothing new.
I work tomorrow and tomorrow only, ugh, Dixie is only open Fridays and Saturdays and there's so many workers that everyone only works one day a week. I was working two but when I called in sick last week she noticed and droped me back to only one day too!! *&^%^^%&!! Anyways!! *Fake Smiles* Dixie Stampede is the Best *Fake Smiles and talks under breath * I can't say anything bad about Dixie, I signed a paper on it even!! They must not have confidence in themselves, hehe Dolly doesn't have confidence?? Who knows.
Oh yeah, now I'm in Co-op so, when I'm in school, I get to leave at 1:15 instead of 3 o clock so I can "work" I need 250 hours before the end of the year so this all "one day a week" thing really sucks!! But soon we'll pick back up to 40 plus hour weeks and I'll start complaining about all the work.

Hey y'all!! :) Cali was great!! But I finally know how much I love Ol' Rocky Top!! Tennessee is where I am mean to be for now! Sick once again!!

I'm so tired of getting sick all the time!! Well see I worked Friday, on the way home I had my window rolled down, the next day I woke up with a squeeky little voice if any at all. Apparently it was like 50 or below degrees. Anyways I worked all weekend, even though sick. Last night I woke up with really bad sinus pressure and coughing. I went to the DR today. She gave me Flonase and some pills. I don't like putting stuff up my nose, but it does help.

Nathan was really worried about me... He saw me get worse each day at work, so this morning he called me to see if I was ok. He is so sweet! :) Jim wouldn't wake up earlier just so he could call me like Nate does when he knows I'm sick or hurt.

I need to sleep some more, pray that I get well.

Hi all! I'm back to the online world!! My comp kept messing up so I finally had to get it reformated >( But hey life goes on. Well lots has happened to me since my last time online.

Well I started dating my current boyfriend Nathan, we've been dating now for about a month and a half. He is so much better than any of my other boyfriends ever were (Jim and I broke up during summer, I just didn't like talking about it) Anyways so things are good with him.

I have a new car!! It's a dark green Dodge Neon 1998. It's so cool! I bought some seat covers, stearing wheel cover, mats, and a whole bunch of other stuff. I also bought a new cd player and speakers for it. I've been saving up for quite a while, It feels so good to be able to spend money that you worked for.

Well for a while I couldn't drive it alone because I only had a permit, but today I went for my road test. We (my dad and I) went to the testing center only yo find out I needed my birth certificate... :( So we drove all the way back home (30 minutes away). Then we went back and filled out paper work and waited. Then finally I drove. The lady was very rude but... I PASSED!! I am a legal driver!!! YEAH!!! I'm so happy!!

I'm still working at Dixie Stampede, in fact that's where I met Nathan!!
